Eric and Karen Stral are photographers based in Portland, OR.

Born in Chicago, Eric has been making photographs all his life. Karen was born and raised in Memphis, TN and has a formal art education. Both have been serious photographers since the early 1970's.

The turning point of their photographic life occurred in 1994, when they moved to Portland. The beauty of Portland’s gardens, parks and surrounding mountains rejuvenated their creative juices.

As artists, they create images that reflect the natural beauty that surrounds us all. Their images are designed to communicate the feelings of peace and serenity the grandeur and beauty of the Northwest creates in them.

Eric and his wife currently live in Portland, OR. They have been partners in all things in life, including their art, for over 35 years. That is why all of their art is signed “E + K Stral”.
